5 Tips for Including your precious pups in family portraits

Dogs are family. I know it's important to have the entire family at the photo session together. Here are some helpful tips if you plan to bring your dog to your portrait session.

Bring your precious pup to the family portraits and remember a few of these tips.

    1. Bring Treats! These positive rewards can promote good behavior at the photo session. Make sure it's a treat your pet loves.

2.. Give your dog time to look around and see the location. This includes taking breaks during the photo session so they can release some energy.

    3. Assign one person ahead of time who will be in charge of the dog. For example, when we are finished with the entire family section, you will already know who will be holding the dog to the side. This avoids confusion and creates a smoother transition.

    4. Take pictures in places with few other dogs present. If lots of other dogs are present, this might be difficult to get your dog to stay calm. A quiet, more relaxing environment is best.

    5. Don't forget to bring a leash!
