This was such an exciting time for military families

This squadron experienced a 3-month delay in their homecoming. The families were beyond excited when the day arrived for their navy pilots to be returning home. 

One of the trickiest parts was getting access to the base. Once there, we waited patiently for about an hour. We got a 5-minute warning that the squadron was coming near. 

Then, in the distance, you could spot the planes approaching.  They got close quick and had a "fly over" right over us. It was magical! The planes parked in the hangers and then each family ran to their loved one!
